Scrolls
Useful and treacherous scrolls may be found in the Caverns of Larn. Some are mighty and will help to advance on your adventures and others will distract you on your path to victory. Once found you can decide to read them immediately or pick them up and save them for later. Magic Scrolls should be identified before you read them so you know what you are reading out loud.
Enchant Armor
Increases the Armor Count of the armor you are currently wearing by +1
Enchant Weapon
Increases the Weapon Count of the weapon you are currently wiedling by +1
Tip: almost any item can be wielded as a weapon in order to enchant it
Enlightment
Makes an undiscovered part of the level around the player visible when read
If the player has an orb of enlightment, is playing on a difficulty higher than 50 and has an experience level higher than 22 this scroll has a 30% chance of enlightening the whole level
Blank Paper
A blank scroll of paper wich has no effects when read because no spells are written on it
Create Monster
Creates a random monster from one dungeon level deeper than the current one when read
Create Artifact
Creates gold, a Magic scroll, a Magic potion, or a Magic book when read
Aggravate Monsters
Aggravates all monsters for +800 steps per scroll read
Time Warp
Increases or decreases left mobuls
Teleportation
Teleports the player to a different location
The safest way to teleport
Expanded Awareness
Increases the range of vision for +1800 steps per scroll read
Haste Monsters
The speed of monsters is doubled for 12 - 67 steps per scroll read
Monster Healing
Heals all monsters on the current dungeon level
Spirit Protection
Activates the spirit protection buff for 300 - 500 steps per scroll read
Helps against the Spirit Naga and Umber Hulk
Undead Protection
Activates the undead protection buff for 300 - 500 steps per scroll read
Stealth
Activates the stealth buff for 250 - 500 steps per scroll read
If the monsters are aggravated, stealth has no effect
Magic Mapping
Enlights the entire dungeon level
Hold Monsters
Activates the hold monsters buff for +30 steps per scroll read
Gem Perfection
Doubles the value of all gem stones that you are carrying
Spell Extension
Extends the effect of some active spells for a period of time
Identify
Itentifies all Magic scrolls, Magic potions, and Magical boxes that you are carrying and some objects near you
Remove Curse
Remove some negative effects
Pulverization
Shoots a pulverisation missile in the chosen direction that damages monsters and walls
Life Protection
Will let you survive the next fatal damage blow and teleport you to safety in the village
Create Rock
Lets you create a rock in a chosen direction
